About Random Daily Urls
In an age where our digital feeds are algorithmically optimized for engagement and our inboxes are flooded with life-hacks and productivity tips, Random Daily Urls offers a different kind of journey. It is a quiet rebellion against the noise, a daily invitation to wander. Every weekday, curator Steven Irby—a self-described internet archaeologist who has been exploring the web since the 1990s—delivers a single, hand-picked URL directly to your email. This isn't about curating the "best of" the internet; it's about uncovering its soul. Each link is a doorway to something weird, wonderful, and authentically human. You might find a hauntingly beautiful personal blog, a quirky interactive experiment, a forgotten digital artifact, or a mainstream gem seen in a new light. The service is built on a philosophy of minimal interference: Steven presents the find with little to no commentary, allowing you to explore, interpret, and feel its meaning on your own terms. It’s for the curious, the nostalgic, and anyone who believes the web's magic isn't gone—it's just waiting to be rediscovered, one mysterious link at a time.
About Video Database
The Video Database began as an internal solution to a common frustration: as creators and content strategists we need to "study the best," but this typically means endless scrolling through social platforms riding the algo waves - good or bad. Nobody needs more of that.
Cut30, our short-form video bootcamp, maintains hundreds of hand-curated reference videos throughout its curriculum—valuable examples embedded within tutorials, exercises, and lessons. However, these references were scattered across the platform without centralized organization or analysis. What started as simply organizing and categorizing those videos, was a slippery slope.
