The boy and the girl were sitting on the backseat of the charter boat when the man opened fire, according to a news release from the Arkansas State Police.
Three children were injured, the release said.
The boy’s mother, who was sitting in the front seat of the boat, was shot in the head and chest and is listed in critical condition.
