Calgary, AB — The Calgary Flames announced today that the Wakeboard Boat Car will be on display at the team’s home opener against the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2019 at Scotiabank Saddledome.
The Wakeboard will feature a modern take on the classic style that has been the hallmark of the Calgary Flames for more than 20 years.
The Wakeboard Car is an innovative concept that combines the power of a traditional boat, the comfort of a modern sport utility vehicle, and the durability of a luxury automobile.
It is designed for the outdoor enthusiast and the sports enthusiast, with seating for four and a fully customizable interior with leather seats and heated seating.
“We’re thrilled to showcase the Wakeboards innovative, yet timeless style,” said Flames President and General Manager Ken King.
“We believe it is a great way to welcome the team to the Saddledrome for our first game at the Saddlesome and we’re excited to bring the WakeBoard Car to the Calgary Forum as part of our brand identity.”
The WakeBoard is a modern boat that has the capability to go anywhere, anytime, anywhere, and will travel the world on demand.
Designed to be an all-inclusive vehicle, the Wake Boards can be customized to meet the needs of every fan, whether they are an outdoor enthusiast or the sports fan in between.
The car is available with two seats for a passenger, four seats for four people or six seats for eight people.
The Car also features an 8,000-square-foot indoor garage for storage and transport of the Wake Board.
The Wakeboards popularity is evident on the ice.
The team currently holds the longest winning streak in the NHL, with an 11-2-0 record at home this season, which includes a 4-1-0 mark on the road.
Last season, the Flames won their sixth consecutive game when they defeated the Pittsburgh Penguins in a shootout.
