The New York Islander’s Josh Bailey and Brandon Pirrri were traded to the Montreal Canadiens on Monday for forward Andrew Hammond and defenseman Josh Manson, NHL.com’s Pierre LeBrun reported.
The trade was first reported by the New York Post’s Jeff Veillette.
The deal is worth a total of $2.3 million.
Hammond, 24, had a career-high 20 goals and 28 assists for 45 points in 71 games with the Islanders last season.
The Islanders acquired Hammond from Toronto on Jan. 10.
Pirri, 22, had 17 goals and 22 assists for 37 points in 66 games with Montreal last season and was the Canadiens third round pick (37th overall) in the 2016 NHL Draft.
